Hi! I’m JENYKA - my artist name. Behind it, I’m Evgenia Krincheva.

If you’re here for the first time, I guess it’s time to tell you a little bit about me.

I’m 16, a singer and songwriter, and I’m still discovering who I am as an artist, what my sound is going to be, where music will take me, and what I want to say through it.

And honestly, I love that I’m still figuring it out.

I don’t know what everything will look like a few years from now. I don’t know which songs I’ll write, where they’ll take me, or who I’ll meet along the way. But I do know that I want to keep trying, creating, and discovering.

For me, music is so much more than just singing a song.

I write about the things that matter to me - love, disappointment, dreams, fears, growing up, finding yourself, and those moments when you honestly have no idea what you’re doing, but you keep going anyway.

I also sing about being yourself.

Maybe because that’s exactly what I’m trying to do too.

When you’re my age, there always seems to be someone telling you how you should look, how you should act, what you should like, or what you should do with your life. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out which of all those voices is actually yours.

I find my answer in music.

That’s where I can be completely myself.

Sometimes a song starts with just a few chords. Other times it starts with a random thought, a conversation, or a feeling I can’t get out of my head. And sometimes I just sit down and start writing without having any idea where it will take me.

And that’s when the most interesting things usually happen.

There’s a lot of me - of Evgenia - in my songs. They hold moments I’ve lived through, things I’ve thought about, people who have left a mark on me, and feelings I didn’t know how to express in any other way.

That’s why every song has its own story.

And I have so many stories to tell.

I want this blog to be the place where I share them - not only as JENYKA, the artist, but also as Evgenia, the girl behind the music.

I’ll tell you how my songs began, what’s behind them, how they changed along the way, and what I was feeling while creating them.

Sometimes the stories will be funny. Sometimes maybe a little sad. And sometimes I’ll probably just think, “How did I even end up here?” 😄

But they’ll all be real.

I’m 16, I have so many dreams, and I definitely don’t have all the answers yet.

But I have music.

And I have stories.
